Job Description

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a client facing environment.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Maintains mammalian cell lines
  • Gathers data and documents test results.
  • Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements.
  • Participates in required training activities.
  • Maintains laboratory supplies.
  • Maintains laboratory purchased reagents, equipment, and supplies through ordering, login, inventory, and stocking. Determines and responds to material alert levels or provides stability study metrics as required.
  • Completes laboratory documentation and reviews logbook data.
  • Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.
  • Coordinates sample and reagent transfers/shipments, verifying integrity of received materials.
  • Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.
  • May write and revise reports, qualifications, and procedures.
  • May be responsible for maintaining a specific project.
  • May devise or develop new analytical methods and techniques.
  • May assist in validation of methods.
  • May be involved in establishing the transfer of methodology from R&D.
  • Continuously drive to improve processes for improved performance using Lean & 5s

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.
  • Experience with maintenance of cell lines and aseptic technique
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to gather and generate data.
  • Experience with GMP preferred
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Level will be determined based on relevant education and/or experience

Position is full-time, 1st shift, Sunday-Thursday and Tuesday-Saturday openings. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
