Java Technical Lead

Duration: 18 Months

Location: Remote/Hybrid model (2 days a week) Ridgefield Park, NJ

Technical Lead Responsibilities:Lead a team of full-stack developers while contributing 30% to active developmentCo-ordinate with the product owner to understand functional requirements, do WBS, plan, prioritize, communicate risks/roadblocks, and collaborate with developersMentor the developers by showing them the right way of doing things [Lead by example]Make recommendations for future state process and own them to delivery [Walk the talk]Support the product owner with estimations relating to the specialized areas or componentsConduct code reviews with the developers within the development teamLead the daily stand-up (scrum) meetingsOwn the deployments to each environment within the development lifecycleBe an individual contributor when it comes to designing and developing frameworks and critical pieces of code which have a wider impactCreate detailed technical plans for execution and implementation of projectsBe available to answer spec questions, clarifications, and clear obstacles for the team.Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.

Technical Lead Requirements:5+ years of ecommerce web development experience.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.REST API working knowledge / Content Management knowledgeKnowledge in data migration and synchronization between instancesExperience with code version/ branching tools like Git/SVNGood knowledge in Front End Technologies & J2EEExperience integrating with backend systems such as ERPs, WMS, OMS, etc.Solid knowledge of performance Improvement best practices.Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.Willingness to build professional relationships with staff and clients.Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills
