Title: Azure Engineer

Location: Secaucus, NJ (Remote to start, but must be local to NJ/NY)

Type: 1 year Contract

Requirements: Looking for experienced, hands on engineer with a background in Windows, VMWare, Azure. Azure Certifications at 300 / 500 Level highly desirable. Seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to support an emerging global infrastructure in Azure. This role will be a key part in implementing scalable, fault tolerant and reliable Azure infrastructure applications while abiding to best cyber security best practices. Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the availability, integrity, recoverability, performance and general application support of Windows and cloud-based systems used throughout the organization.Collaborating with Cyber Security team in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing security-related requirements and solutions that abide to best cloud operations best practicesImplement and maintain security-centric tools such as: Azure Security Center, Sentinel, Event HubsManage a growing Microsoft Azure Cloud and AWS footprint, including virtual machine instances, Azure functions, and Blob storage accounts, IAM users, permissions, & roles etc.Ability to train other members of the team

Required Skills/Knowledge: Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in technical and non-technical topics. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.Strong understanding of Cloud SecurityExpertise in Azure Infrastructure operations security tools inclusive of:Security and Audit dashboard, Azure Resource Manager Templates, Azure Monitor, Azure Monitor Logs, Azure Security Center, Azure Application Gateway, RBAC for storage accounts, Shared Access Signatures, Storage Service Encryption, VPN Gateway, Azure Key Vault, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Active Directory Expertise in Infrastructure and data securityMicrosoft Azure and some Amazon Web Services experience including:Compute (virtual machines, serverless computing functions, auto scaling, API gateways, etc.)Storage (Blob, Azure File Share, AWS S3, EBS, Storage Accounts etc.)Networking/Content Delivery (Expressroute, VPC, ELB, API Gateway, etc.)Identity Access Management (IAM policies and roles etc.)In depth knowledge of designing and building cloud network infrastructure (Azure, AWS) inclusive of Azure firewall, Azure Network Security Groups (NSG), Express Route, AWS VPC, and AWS security groups.Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining hybrid cloud architectureExpertise in Identity and access managementApplication development experience in Azure functionsExperience in penetration testing and vulnerability scanning tools

Experience Needed

:5+ years in Azure EngineeringPrior experience with cloud modernization effort is desired5+ years in Infrastructure Operations

Educational Background Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Services, or a related technical discipline.Relevant industry certifications preferred (Microsoft Azure 30x and 500 certifications, AWS SysOps Administrator)
