Senior Java Production SupportLocation: Secaucus, NJ/RemoteDuration: 6 months with possible contract to hire

Description:The Site Reliability Engineer will work as part of a cross-functional team to implement scalable, highly reliable software systems, supporting a variety of patient-facing client products. The role is also responsible for ongoing development of new product features.

Duties and Responsibilities:- Identify automatable routines and build out automation tooling in a cloud environment- Regular involvement in development sprints as needed- Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance, and reliability- Work closely and collaboratively with geographically-distributed team of engineers- Participate in tier-3 incident response, capacity prediction, and planning- Mentor team members on design patterns for CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies

Qualifications:

Education Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Work Experience: - 9+ years professional experience in software development.

Physical and Mental: - Ability to multi-task, Analytical skills, Ability to follow verbal or written instructions, Thinking analytically, Communication, Using effective verbal communication, Using effective written communication, Handling stress & emotions, Concentrating on tasks, Making decisions, Adjusting to change, Examining/observing details, Sitting for long periods at a time

Other: - Approximately 50/50 split between SRE and project software development tasks- 2+ years' experience with Jenkins, Linux, and shell scripting required- 2+ year of production support, 24x7 experience preferred- 7+ years' Java development experience- Strong knowledge of Spring framework and JEE, using microservices architecture- Established ability to reverse engineer architecture from the projects and code structure- Established ability to read and debug code written by engineers with various level of skills- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker required- LinkerD/service mesh experience preferred- Experience with Git and GitLab- Experience with analysis tools, especially Dynatrace, Splunk, and SonarQube preferred- Knowledge of Oracle DB and SQL preferred- Knowledge of multiple programming languages and frameworks (Node.js, Angular) preferred- Good verbal and written communication skills Mahesh
