To that end, the solution architect creates solutions leveraging various domains of technologies, including network security, data security, endpoint security, and cyber defense potentially other areas as well. The solution architect in this role works to bring strategy to fruition, and so candidates should be fluent with the afore mentioned security technology areas and be able to drive the delivery of solutions which align with the strategy.Primary responsibilities:Drive the successful delivery of security technology investment effortsNetwork & team with stakeholders and sponsors across Technology to drive businessIndependently motivate others as needed to support solution effortsWork with domain architects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and targetsCome up to speed with strategic artifacts and align solution efforts to those strategiesProvide input into strategic direction as neededFormulate requirements which guide technology selections and solution exercisesFrame and conduct various technology selection approaches including RFIs and RFPsLead technology selection efforts from a technical perspectiveo Lead RFP question formulation and be responsible for their completiono Formulate technology recommendations while working with stakeholdersCompile technology findings and recommendations for leadership decisionsDrive proof-of-concept and implementation activities from an architectural perspectiveDevelop and enhance solution architecture artifactsIdentify technologies appropriate to incorporate in solution architecturesDevelop and maintain infrastructure architecture diagrams, solution architecture documents and other artifacts to guide implementationso Translate requirements into the formulation of solutionsDevelop security technology standard proposalsPresent subject matter to project teams, governance forums and other audiences as neededTravel as needed (travel involved ? 10%)Skills and Attributes for SuccessA successful candidate for this role impacts by enabling the realization of strategic intent. Solution Architects will help identify security tools and architectures to support business needs and ready these technologies for Engineering and Operations teams to inevitably assume final implementation and operational ownership.
