What You Will Do
- Establishes, refines and manages internal processes and metrics to support project completion including successful software development, model development and technically related business projects
- Gives direction to team members, works to remove barriers and silos to accomplishing the success and implementation of projects on cross-functional teams
- Ensures project goals and requirements are met on schedule, within budget and are successfully completed
- Take ownership of all phases of project execution including Initiation, Planning/development, Production/execution, Monitors/controls, Closing/post release activities for larger projects
- 10+ years of experience in the software development field, with PBM experience a strong plus
- 5+ years of experience directly leading software projects in a technical leadership capacity
- Complex working knowledge of systems and software development concepts, practices and procedures;
- Ability to provide technical and architecture oversight
- Proficiency in pertinent tools and software necessary for the position;
- Ability to act with diplomacy in resolving conflict, consulting, and in acting as an agent in charge
- Must have technical know-how with the following skills: COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, JCLs, DCLGENs, BMS, PROCs
- Must have proficiency in the following tools: CA7, ENDEAVOR, RUMBA, MS OFFICE (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio, and Project Plan)
- Should have the ability to roll up his/her sleeves and be hands on to analyze the issue and bring it to closure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret and communicate technical information to non-technical personnel and vice versa
- Should have the attitude to learn new technologies
- High Level understanding of distributed/web technologies like JAVA, SOA, VB and front end technologies
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university, or equivalent combination of education and job
