BookBaby has an immediate opening for a Book Publishing Specialist. This person will act as a book production (print and eBook) subject matter expert. They will act as the liaison between customers, designers, and production departments while production orders are in process to ensure optimal outcomes.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10AM-6PM

Responsibilities / Tasks:

Develop and maintain courteous and effective working relationships with customers and team members.

Responsible for providing timely, appropriate responses to suggestions/requests/complaints from customers.

Communicating with customers (via phone, e mail & face to face) regarding graphics, audio/content and order details.

Provide manufacturing departments with the production information (through configuration and detailed notes) to meet the customer needs.

Interacts w/ other team members regarding customer concerns during production.

Resolves production problems w/ internal departments and/or customers with the assistance of their manager.

Works closely with fellow BookBaby team members to ferociously refine and make continuous improvements to product lines, services, customer facing assets and overall customer.

Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

College degree or equivalent customer service/sales experience

Pre-requisites:

3+ years in book printing or publishing business preferred.

Working knowledge of book printing business and processes preferred.

Working knowledge of digital eBook business and processes preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Special Skills Required:

Must have good communication, language and verbal skills.

Math skills required. Will need to make basic math calculations.

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in fast paced high customer contact environment.

Must exhibit discipline with regard to daily responsibilities.

Ability to conduct sales transactions via phone and e-mail.

Ability to multi-task.

Computer literacy.

Superior customer service.

Superior attention to detail.

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Physical Demands:

Must be able to perform work at a computer and telephone station for 90% of day.
