Zoo Sitters is looking for candidates, 25 yrs and older, who are passionate about pet care to join our crew of professional pet sitters.
If you understand the serious nature of pet care, are detail oriented, tech-savvy, can easily follow written instruction, love the outdoors, enjoy working independently, and love to drive, this could be the perfect job for you! Sitters must be very responsive and communicative.
Open positions are part time and should be considered supplemental income however, the more available you are, the more opportunities for work.
To be qualified you MUST:
Live within Cape May County (excluding Ocean City).
Be 25 years or older and looking for a permanent position.
Own a reliable, gas efficient, insured car that is capable in inclement weather and can transport pets in an emergency situation.
Be extremely detail oriented and be able to easily follow written instructions.
Have experience with animals. Must be able to feed, walk, medicate and observe behavior.
Be physically fit and be able to handle emergency situations with a calm, cool head.
Own a Smartphone on a major network (Also a computer or iPad is recommended).
Must be willing to commit to specific times of availability on a consistent basis (No rotating schedules).
Be comfortable learning new computer programs.
Be able to easily understand technology and apps.
Have good time management skills.
Be extremely responsive to messages from our office through our App, email and text
Have an active Facebook account.
Be comfortable cleaning up accidents and be willing to work in any type of weather.
Be able to handle dogs that have very little obedience training, may pull on the leash, jump up, etc.
Be reliable and dedicated. Calling out is only acceptable in emergency situations.
Be extremely communicative and understand the nature of working with a remote team.
Be able to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.
Have exceptional writing skills, spelling and grammar.

If hired, you will need to pass a criminal background check, be required to complete a few hours of paid online training, paid hands on training, and paid training to become certified in Pet First Aid and CPR through our online training course (we cover the course fees as well). We reserve the right to drug test.
