Title: REVIT Drafter

About the Position:

The REVIT Drafter will be responsible for reviewing, developing, and modifying drawings, diagrams, installation plans and product/architectural details.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Read and interpret architectural plans, blue prints, sketches, and/or other drawings in preparation to prepare preliminary layouts and detailed installation plans in both Auto CAD and Revit ensuring they meet company and industry standards and codes

Preparation and/or modification of the electrical schematics, point to point wiring diagrams and panel layouts to prepare preliminary layouts and detailed installation plans in both Auto CAD and Revit ensuring they meet company and industry standards and codes

Able to modify existing drawings per engineering markups

Coordinate and manage Revit models

Maintain, create, and follow check lists to ensure consistency and quality of work as well as reviewing all work for prior to releasing as complete

Provide prompt and accurate progress status reports on a regular basis

Complete accurate and timely project time sheets accounting for time spent on each project

Coordinate project requirements with team members and provide assistance when necessary to complete required tasks

Revit and CAD drafting support for associates and project managers during the planning, design, and construction phases of various projects

Anything else that is deemed necessary

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

CAD experience (minimum 1 year) - Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) preferred

Autodesk Revit experience (minimum 1 year)

Ability to create and modify Revit families and CAD dynamic blocks

Ability to run clash detection

Revit model coordination

Working knowledge of drafting standards, architectural and electrical prints as well as MEP and low voltage infrastructure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced work environment

Highly organized and detail oriented

Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment

Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority

Proven ability to maintain confidentiality

Strong organizational skills
