Electrical/ Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Our company is currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician. Please see below:

This will be a temporary to permanent position

$34-38 per hour depending on experience

Hours

6pm-6am 4 days on and 4 days off

Will be on a swing shift to train with other maintenance crews before being moved to full night shift.

The Maintenance Technician will directly report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will

serve as an integral part of the Maintenance Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure

the safe and efficient work on heavy industrial machinery and aluminum extrusion presses. Additionally,

responsibilities involve inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and

performing preventive maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Identity and promptly communicate any electrical, mechanical, or operational concerns that could

compromise safety.

 Safely and efficiently operate maintenance and operation machinery, tools, and equipment.

 Identifying the root causes of issues by observing mechanical equipment while it is operational, listening

for any abnormalities, and employing precise measuring and testing tools.

 Eliminates faulty components through disassembling equipment; utilizes hoists, cranes, and manual

power tools; evaluates the shape, form, and consistency of parts.

 Identifies alterations in part dimensions by examining used parts and components; employs calipers,

micrometers, and various measuring tools to ensure accuracy.

 Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and

straightedges.

 Minimizes operational disruptions and downtime through the execution of regular maintenance checks

and preventative maintenance; ensures adherence to regulations and monitoring compliance.

 Utilize blueprints, plans, electrical drawing and code specifications to complete job tasks, repair

machinery and configure machinery.

 Troubleshoot testing and repair manufacturing equipment which can include various electrical systems

to ensure that they are working properly.

 Run tests, isolating problems, replacing damaged section and performing other tasks as required.

 Perform upgrades or preventative maintenance to electrical control systems.

 Inspect, test, and install system or equipment repairing correctly for operation.

 May need to update the equipment by adding controls that are necessary to improve the efficiency,

performance, and functionality of the devices.

 Responsible for maintaining collaborative relationships with cross functional teams to facilitate

organizational success through focus on customer requirement achievement.

 Responsible for collaborating effectively as a team member and supporting production operations during

all periods.

 Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment

including but not limited to adhering to all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements,

immediate incident reporting, and adherence to both Safety Cardinal Rules and Quality Cardinal Rules,

among others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Electrician PLC Technician

❒ All essential duties and responsibilities, among other duties, listed under Maintenance Technician in addition to:

 Install, troubleshoot, and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in electrical systems.

 Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure PLCs are operating correctly.

 Identify and resolve electrical issues related to PLCs in a timely manner.

 Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize PLC performance.

 Provide training and support to other team members on PLC maintenance and operation.

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

 High School education or equivalent desired; trade and/or technical education highly preferred.

 Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing and/or heavy-industrial environment

preferred.

 Highly skilled in the areas of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical.

 Proficient in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.

 Strong problem solving, delegation, conflict resolution, motivational and team building skills required.

 Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely and effectively required.

 Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed required.
