An award winning logistics company based in Southern New Jersey is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team! We are a leader in the trucking industry and our team is expanding. Our primary focus is on Agricultural hauling, primarily Nursery products and fresh produce. We have a fleet of trucks that reach nationwide and operate a wide variety of equipment. This full time position is ideal for a motivated individual with Freight experience, excellent communication and computer skills and the ability to lead a team.
Responsibilities:
Manage an assigned team of regional and OTR Drivers
Dispatch drivers using a dispatch software
Trouble shoot problems and direct resolutions during all aspects of deliveries
Coordinate and implement mechanical solutions with our shop
Maintain existing business relationships
Billing of customers and invoicing
Grow and expand our customer base
Coordinate with other departments for shipping needs
Recruiting of new drivers for the company
Other jobs, duties and tasks as needed
Reports directly to the Transportation Manager for assignments and projects
Requirements:
Excellent communication and computer skills
Ability to prioritize and manage work loads
Ability to work in a high paced environment
Ability to foster and build professional relationships with customers and drivers
Strong organizational skills
Experience in using dispatch software and load boards
Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations
Flexibility to take after hours calls
Preferred experience:
Experience as a dispatcher, freight broker or recruiter a must
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management a plus
A minimum of 2 years in the Logistics industry
CDL-A license a plus
