The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.The Consumer Credit Manager will report directly to the Wells Fargo Dealer Services Director of Forecasting and Collections Risk Management.This leader will be responsible for supporting Wells Fargo's Risk Framework and upholding Wells Fargo Auto Credit Risk mission statement for the auto portfolios managed. Primary responsibility will be identifying, developing, managing, monitoring and enhancing the Credit Risk Collection strategies for the Indirect and Direct auto businesses. This will require strong collaboration working with peers within Credit Risk, as well as with stakeholders within the line of business, and stakeholders in corporate oversight groups and regulatory agencies.The Consumer Credit Mgr. will be a facilitator and business leader with responsibility for serving the company's businesses to assist each of them in implementing Credit Risk Collections strategies that will enable achievement of strategic objectives. This key leader will be expected to develop/maintain a highly capable and motivated Credit Risk organization.Specifically this individual will have leadership responsibility for the following: Partnering with Collections leadership to maintain credit losses, profitability and other credit risk exposures to company expectations. Developing Strategies for Repossessions, Customer Reinstatements, Full Balance Charge Offs, Hardship Refinance Program, Monitoring and Reporting. Work with collection leaders to implement and communicate strategies. Business ownership of appropriate credit risk models used in Collections Credit Risk. This requires model performance monitoring oversight as defined by Wells Fargo's Model Risk Policy and making recommendations to enhance when needed. Proactively manage credit risk metrics that are identified within the company's risk appetite and line of business risk dashboards. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Auto business leaders, as well as with Wells Fargo oversight groups and regulators. Establish strong expectations for the Credit Risk Collections team by setting performance goals and providing consistent performance feedback. As the Senior Leader, represent Credit Risk Collections at all appropriate meetings within Wells Fargo and supported line of business committees.This leader will have a track record of success in building and managing industry-leading risk functions in the financial services industry. This leader will have substantial experience leading 'best in class' risk management functions, and a thorough knowledge of highly disciplined business, financial, and risk management processes.This manager must be an exceptional leader and will be recognized for accomplishments related to hiring, retaining, and developing a world-class staff.As an Employee Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. 3+ years of leadership experience

Other Desired QualificationsDemonstrated Credit Risk Management experience, with a track record in the consumer lending sector with specific exposure to Auto financing preferred.

A deep understanding of credit from a full-cycle perspective, including testing and control.

Success managing in a large corporate, multi-line business organization.

Proven experience in strategic leadership and the ability to build partnerships, collaboration and influencing at senior levels, across lines of business as well as with corporate partners, to create/achieve a desired future state through influence of individual and group goals.

A demonstrated knowledge of risk management fundamentals and policy creation.

Demonstrated excellence at developing sound credit risk processes and managing multiple initiatives, and when needed, evaluating and enhancing existing processes.

Strong ability at identifying stakeholders, understanding needs, and driving to resolution.

Experience in building and leading a team of strong technical experts, and high performing professionals. Previous virtual leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in geographically dispersed environments.

Capability of working in a rapidly evolving, highly complex, matrixed environment with the ability to effectively and constructively lead change in the organization.

Having, and using, organizational awareness and knowledge of systems, situations, pressures, and culture within the company to identify potential problems and opportunities; perceiving the impact and the implications of decisions on other components of the company as well as the impact on investors, customers, clients, etc.
