On a daily basis work with Operations Manager in the development and implementation of functional area work schedules to assure effective and efficient operations.

Make recommendations on programs to improve Distribution Center (DC) operations.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.

Support Thermo Fisher process improvement methodology

Ensure process documentation changes are communicated to staff as applicable

Support operations with quality investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA management and tracking/completion in quality system (TrackWise)

Report damaged product and complete necessary paperwork

Support/Manage supply management process

Storage, Inventory levels, usage, gel pack conditioning and temperature monitoring

Safety, Sanitation, SecurityMaintain exceptional work environments that allow for impromptu client inspections, potential client tours and ensure image of Thermo Fisher as an industry leader.

Security and safety standards must be followed, with zero tolerance for deviation.

Operate all equipment and obtain necessary certifications according to OSHA, security and safety standards established.

Ensure adherence to all PDMA and GMP procedures

Escort visitors in secured areas and ensure visitor adherence to security requirements.

DocumentationExperience with Microsoft Offices tools including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel

Experience with maintenance software, Maximo preferred

Excellent organizational and Communication skills

Hands on experience with quality management system software, Trackwise preferred.

Working experience in creation of process documents.

How will you get here?4 year Bachelor’s Degree preferred

2+ years of supervisory experience

Must have Experience in DEA or limited high value product (cage, controlled Substances…etc).

Forklift Certification HI

Labor ManagementParticipate in establishing work schedules.

Train new employees and monitor new skill application

Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and disciplining subordinates.

Motivate and develop a team focused on outstanding customer service.

Ensure actions are consistent with policies and procedures

Product Expiration and ReturnsEnsure segregation of returned products

Manage Returns process per client work instructions.

EquipmentEnsure that equipment is in good working order on a daily basis

Ensure that the correct equipment is utilized for the task

Adhere to daily equipment allocation plan. Work with DC Manager to maximize equipment utilization.

Ensure that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner

Report maintenance problems to DC Manager immediately

Inventory ControlEnsure all inventory control / movement procedures are accurate

Assist in conducting physical inventory counts

BudgetingWork with Operations Manager on the reporting and requests on operational budget reports

Focus on cost containment and service excellence

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
