Job Summary:

Trane Technologies in Burlington, NJ is hiring a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift. In this role you will lead and coordinate daily operations of the Shipping, Receiving, and Raw Material teams. Responsible for driving improvements and achieving goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. Interacts with members of the team to assess needs and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Leads authentically, communicates consistently, and develops a cross-trained team capable of meeting all business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Shipping, Receiving, and RAW functions are performed safely and in accordance with established EHS procedures. Completes accident reports and initiates necessary training to prevent future accidents.
  • Promotes commitment to quality through attitude, behavior, communication, and implementation of existing procedures and standards.
  • Works with the Inventory Manager and Distribution Center Manager to increase Inventory Accuracy and ensure all team members are transacting Finished Goods correctly.
  • Supervises the activities of Warehouse team to achieve objectives with regard to quality, cost, and time.
  • Reviews shipping schedules to ensure orders are shipped on time.
  • Ensures accuracy of shipping documentation in accordance with all compliance regulations.
  • Coaches for performance reinforcing standard work and helps problem solve failures in the process.
  • Drive employee engagement and involvement
  • Ensure adherence to plant work rules, collective bargaining agreement, and payroll compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years of related experience required in lieu of degree.
  • 2 to 5 years of manufacturing or warehousing experience required.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to assess and prioritize needs.
  • Must possess sound interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency – Microsoft Office required, Oracle preferred
  • Lean or Six Sigma Experience Preferred
  • Experience in a union environment preferred.
