What you’ll be doing The Global Supply Chain team has an opening for an Inventory Control Senior Manager to lead the team responsible for developing and executing Inventory Controls to support all Verizon Network business units. The Inventory Control Team ensures simplified processes for proper inventory levels, on-time delivery and continues to drive cost out of the business.

Leading the team responsible for forging key partner relationships with the Field Teams in each of the Verizon business units (VZT, VZB and VZW), internal stakeholders (supply planners) to develop and implement end-to-end processes for Supply Chain.

Oversee inventory management, forecasting, contracts, process improvement, supply planning, and ERP systems, with a hands on approach.

Managing special projects/ad hoc inventory projects.

Leading field audits at contractor locations and managing all network inventory.

Ensuring our internal customers receive the material they need in time to provide the service levels Verizon customers expect.

Partnering with a variety of stakeholder groups across organizations to drive processes and results.

This position will report to the Director of Network Supply Chain Inventory Control.What we’re looking for You are a process person and you like when things run smoothly-but when they don’t, you’ll find a good solution and then re-engineer the process to improve it for next time. You work well with lots of different kinds of people and know how to flex your style to suit the situation. You prefer a fast-paced environment with new challenges each day.You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Supply Chain transformation or inventory experience.

Experience with engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders.

Experience leading a team.

Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or relevant field.

Ten or more years of industry experience with strong competency in Supply Chain and Item Master management.

Capability to apply data analytic techniques to pinpoint opportunities and design and implement strategic initiatives.

End-to-end Supply Chain experience with demonstrated capability to manage inventory improvement initiatives with a focus on turnkey services.

Strong knowledge with ERP systems, Supply Chain Planning Systems, PeopleSoft, nSAP, vSAP, CATS (Fulcrum), Tableau and SQL.

Experience and knowledge of the OSP, ISP, RAN Access, Core and Transport Network processes and experience with managing installation service providers.

Strong leadership abilities with a proven capability to engage and influence collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

A strong focus on detail, data accuracy, and quality of output.

Proven program management success and strong project management capabilities.

Knowledge of Verizon financial ledger asset tracking, national warehousing, transport and logistics program.

Flexibility to work in all location types whether network office, field site or warehouse location.

Capability to accept and adapt to changes.

Strong analytical and technical skills, and are results oriented and deadline driven.

Experience in developing and delivering executive communication via advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
