Experience: Experience working in NOC, ServiceNow, ticketing system, and SolarWindsCandidate will monitor the NOC environment, open/close tickets, L1 troubleshooting & escalation to proper team2nd shift – candidate to work Thu – Mon / 3:00PM – 12:00AM 3rd shift – candidate to work Thu-Mon / 11:00PM – 8:00AMHybrid onsite schedule / 1 to 2 days but weekends must be onsite.

Job DescriptionThe Network Operations Center (NOC) Operator will monitor multiple systems utilizing dash boards like SolarWinds, AppDynamics and ODT consoles. Provide Level 1 support of Cisco Infrastructure, VMware etc.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Stay current on all monitoring procedures and operating standards.
  • Monitor data files transmissions for daily input to batch processing and 3rd party vendors.
  • Ensure timely response to alerts to avoid outages by e-mail, text messaging or phone calls.
  • Provide L0/L1 Support for Batch execution FTP transmissions and monitoring of our bank branch network.
  • Develop tools and framework to improve operational efficiency and anomaly detection.
  • Drive scripting and automation to develop solutions to common problems with routine alerts.
  • Support the integration between the SolarWinds and ServiceDesk call ticketing system.
  • Maintain and monitor production schedules for batch processing on the mainframe.
  • Identify any system malfunctions, troubleshoot issue, initiate corrective action, and notify supervisor of any issues.
  • Provide an efficient and timely response to all requests, problems/issues.
  • Maintain problem log, date, time of incident people contacted and resolution time.
  • Enter all system error messages as required by ServiceNow platform.
  • Interpret console messages from system software or applications program, network feeds and perform required actions.
  • Initiate corrective action where required and within the scope of knowledge and authority then escalate where needed.

Required Skills:
  • Familiarity with build automation tools like UiPath.
  • Familiarity with windows server Active Directory, VMWare, and Dell/EMC storage platforms.
  • Managing SolarWinds Network Management Systems and Processes.
  • Resolving identified vulnerabilities based on defined standards.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills including, e-mail, word processing, Service Now ticket opening, spreadsheets, graphics, excel etc.
  • Ability to answer phones and communicate with on call bank employees, back-office departments along with 3rd party vendors, both written and oral.

Required Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years monitoring systems functions (network and servers) by utilizing dashboards and bots.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Systems Administrator.
  • Bachelor's in Computer science, experience in Service Now and/or CCNA Certification is preferred.
