Azure Solution Architect

Location: Weehawken, NJ

This will be day one onsite role (Hybrid model)

Will prefer someone local or open to relocating.

Role and Responsibilities Description
  • Solution architect with hands-on design and build experience for end-to-end solutions with Microsoft Azure
  • Review and evaluate architectures of existing on-premises systems and design for Azure migration.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to the teams in the implementation of established architectures and designs.
  • Work on POC’s to establish the architecture that can be used by the developers to build the application

Technical Skills
  • Required: Azure Architecture and design patterns, Domain driven architecture, Microservices architecture, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Containers (Docker), Azure App Services, Azure Cosmos Database, Azure Monitoring and Application insights
  • Preferred: Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Networking and Security Solutions
  • Experience with configuration management and automation technologies such as Terraform and ARM Templates
  • Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with
  • Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java 1.8+ (preferred), PowerShell, Bash, .Net, .Net Core, Python.
  • Experience with frontend technologies specifically React (preferred) , Angular or Vue and good understanding of JavaScript
  • Deep technical experience in cloud application solutions (e.g. PaaS, Serverless, API Management) and building resilient, scalable multi-site architectures

Non-Technical Skills
  • Ability to drive decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
  • Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication

Experience:
  • 8+ years’ of relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience as a team lead with software application projects
