Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Big Data Developer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial clients in Weehawken, NJ (Hybrid, 2 days per week) Responsibilities :
- As a Big Data Developer, you'll play an important role in designing, developing and delivering solutions that accelerate the "Speed of Confidence of Delivery to Production
- The successful candidate will join the Technology team as Cloud Full stack developer.
- The main function of this job is to Implement and deliver high quality software solutions and components for the CDIO GF platform that conform to architectural standards.
- Leverage expertise to mentor and lead developers. Review code and designs, and ensure adherence to standards.
- Deliver development tasks end-to-end and work closely with other development, testing, and implementation teams to roll out important regulatory and business improvement programs.
- Monitor systems to manage market risk exposure of its global Front Office trading functions.
- Manage systems to ensure the Bank's compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Leverage latest tools and technologies to increase team productivity and collaboration across teams.
- Programming Language: Java, Scala, or Python
- Cloud Technology: Azure
- Tools: Gitlab, Sonar, docker hub, container registry, nexus, Postman, Minikube, Azure CLI
- Build Scripting: Gradle, Maven, Shell
- Hosting: Experience with container management platforms like Kubernetes and databricks
- Data: Storage accounts, PostgreSQL, knowledge on spark and Data Bricks API
- Security: Azure AD (SAML Token based, Single sign-on), Hashi corp Vault, Managed Identities(Service Principals)
- Monitoring: Log Analytics, Azure Metrics, Azure Monitor,
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform
- Things that we believe are critical :
- Data management and automation on Spark
- Hands-on technical experience with big data systems including experience in designing and implementing large distributed systems
- Performance optimization, automation, and unit tests
- Experience with container management platforms like Kubernetes
- Excellent debugging, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Test Automation:
- Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases
- Experience with build, test and maintaining a scalable test automation framework and test scripts to ensure repeatability, coverage, reliability and catching regressions
- Hands on in creating test plans for new features and improving existing test plans including identifying areas for automation
