Our client, a Global Wealth Management Firm, has an urgent need for a Full Stack Java Developer Weehawken, NJ - Partial Remote Long Term Contract

Your role Are you eager to work as a full stack Java developer in a true agile environment where digital products are designed and built using cutting-edge technology for WMA clients and Advisors? Are you passionate about building and managing robust and scalable IT platforms? We are looking for someone like this to:
  • Lead and develop modern distributed applications by working in an agile team consisting of Java/UI/QA engineers and WMA business
  • Hands-on experience in building applications in cloud and hybrid models.
  • Hands-on experience in application design & development using SDLC methodologies, well versed with Agile and waterfall processes
  • Collaborate with multiple IT & Business stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop high performance and scalable IT solutions
  • Provide IT solutions to team members and perform code reviews across our team and enforce Enterprise Application design & architectural standards

Your team You'll be working in the Field Platforms team in US. We are responsible for WMA (Wealth Management Americas) technology applications. This development role entails working with teams in US, Poland, Hungary and India.

Your experience and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in either Science, Information Technology, Mathematics.
  • Demonstrable 10+ years of solid experience in Java, J2EE in a large enterprise environment.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with web services, micro services.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, application web services (REST or SOAP), Spring framework/Spring Boot is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL.
  • Tomcat and WebSphere application server knowledge are a must.
  • Experience with Unit and Integration Testing, familiarity with (at least 1) testing and mocking framework.
  • Basic UNIX/Linux user experience.
  • Experience with CI(/CD) pipelines (e.g. Gitlab), building and dependency management tools (e.g. Maven).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, debugging skills.
  • Experience with enterprise integration and messaging related technologies such as JMS, MQ and/or Kafka
  • Nice to have knowledge of one of the UI frameworks such as React, Vue or Angular. React preferred.
  • Nice to have knowledge of one of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Azure preferred.
  • Nice to have exposure on Cloud integration, Container services and good understanding of Agile based execution processes.
