The Associate Director of Consumer Insights is a keyposition within the NielsenIQ Pacific Consumer Insights business.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled researcher who loves solving client's problems, fostering existing relationships and developing new business through strong relationship building. You will be passionate about our purpose of helping our clients to make a difference, whether they are a commercial business, government agency, or a not for profit organisation. You will be a great listener and strategic thinker, who is able to understand a client's business issues and objectives then translate these into the most appropriate research solution. You will be creative and have the ability to identify meaningful insights from information and communicate these effectively.

About your role:

  • You will be working with Australia’s biggest and best manufacturers, retailers and service providers to implement our ‘experience’ strategy.

  • You will work across brand, customer experience and shopper to get a full 360 degree view of the consumer with a focus on analytics that will show you the future instead of looking in the rear view mirror.

  • You will be at the forefront of driving us into a next-generation insights business focusing on how we leverage passive measurement and cutting edge analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Be an expert consumer insights person for our Sydney team with a clear grasp of business issues and business development skills

  • Be part of our transformation to our NextGen Insights business

  • Act as a true consultant for our clients, finding opportunities to help our clients grow their business

  • Be able to build compelling presentations and deliver those with impact

  • Identify and drive new business to answer clients' business needs

  • Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during presentations or business reviews and also by providing value-added analyses and response to special requests.

  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with the identified key persons within our client organisations

About you

As a lead Associate Director / Director and reporting to the Head of Consumer Insights, you will be the driving force in delivering our best in class analytics and laying the foundations for future business growth. We will arm you with the best in market capabilities as well as access to our full range of data and analytics solutions. Whilst we love surveys, we also have plenty of other data to quench your curiosity and wow your clients.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in research and analytics
  • Be professional, well presented and willing to roll up your sleeves with a fun and energetic team!
  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with the Google suite of programs including Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail and Google+ is preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Be self-motivated, adaptable and proactive - no two days are the same in this role!
  • Strong commercial acumen and business development skills
