job Title: Lead Full Stack Developer (.NET)

Locations: Jersey City, Philadelphia, PA, and Whitehouse Station, NJ. Remote is an option for the right candidate BUT would need to come into Jersey City, NJ a couple times/mo.

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Job SummaryBy joining the client North American Commercial IT Strategic Portal team as a Lead Full-Stack Engineer, you'll undertake the unique opportunity to build and evolve highly impactful, customer facing applications that directly impact our business. To carry this out, you'll partner directly with business stakeholders, architects, and technical leads across different areas of our business to understand business processes and products, translate requirements into technical specs, and lead a team of developers to build optimized and scalable IT solutions within an Agile framework. Serving as a subject matter expert, you'll guide your business partners in developing thorough requirements and testing strategies while owning issue resolution and leading user acceptance testing. You'll also have the opportunity to lead and influence technical directions of the software architecture and design within our dynamic and evolving tech stack.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive the IT team in solutioning to assure project and tasks are in alignment with the business strategy and IT digital strategy
  • Lead projects and development activity
  • Initiate, conduct and facilitate discussions with multiple stakeholders, and translate the results and issues to the business and IT teams
  • Collaborate with Project Managers/Scrum Masters to manage scope, manage business partner expectations, and provide input into the identification of risks, dependencies, and stakeholders as input into project plans
  • Partner with business stakeholders to drive the development of acceptance criteria along with plans to facilitate user acceptance testing that ensure solutions built meet business needs
  • Directly contribute to the QA team's test strategy and approach to ensure that the designed solutions satisfy the business requirements
  • Provide the production support teams with guidance and business knowledge on reported issues

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience with .Net Framework in a supervisory or team leadership capacity
  • 3+ years of experience with web API (.Net core) as well as some/many of the following: ASP.Net MVC, HTML, CSS, Angular or React or similar framework
  • Experience with Azure Development (IAAS, PAAS, Key vault, Azure functions, Blob, App Insights)
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models
  • Knowledge of both Agile Project Management and DevOps tools and practices including and/many of the following:
  • Jira, Confluence, MS Project, MS Visio, and/or Clarity
  • GitHub, Jenkins, ELK, Nagios
  • Solid understanding of SDLC models with the proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
