Sr. Project Manager (PMO /Anywhere, US (100% Remote)Contract-to-Hire

Job Description:Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their elite team of technologists to build and contribute to large-scale, innovative projects. They will be working in/around Design Thinking, Analytics and Technology organizations and the client's business partners. This person will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion. This person should be experienced in handling full-scope project management, from initial project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination between relevant stakeholders on business and technical sides of the house.We need somebody with experience providing project support and analysis that will be able to come in and provide these services to their division, which provides risk oversight and analysis within a PMO aka 'Program Management Office'.

This person will act as the liaison between the business side stakeholders and the Technology teams within the organization to ensure projects and deliverables on these projects are met in a timely fashion. Need to be able to speak to and provide concrete explanations of how they've successfully handled 'cradle to grave' project initiatives. Taking a project from inception to completion. IT Project Manager standing up a new suite of applications and managing the Project Management duties along with it.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Independently lead or facilitate management of medium complexity projects.
  • Support Project and Program Managers in higher-complexity projects.
  • Effectively engage senior business and technology stakeholders as needed.
  • Executes PMO / PMO Related best practices in the areas of end-to-end project life cycle as relevant to the project.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, review, prioritization working with business leads and sponsors.
  • Perform ad-hoc data gathering and data analysis.
  • Provides support to project teams in areas of plan development, scoping, milestone management, analysis, analytics, synthesis of action items, key take-aways and decisions items.
  • Provide meeting support including set up, meeting notes, and follow-up actions based on pre-determined project roles & responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain, as needed, project plans and various reports such as stage report, end project report and project close report, highlight report, exception report and any ad hoc reports.
  • Develop and maintain, as needed, risk, issues, dependencies logs, project charter, and other project management artifacts.
  • Assist in maintenance of various PMO tracking tools and systems (e.g., Biz JIRA, SharePoint).
CERTIFICATION(S)/INDUSTRY EXPERTISE:
  • Financial Services Industry Experience,
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • PRINCE 2 aka Prince II Certification,
Plusses/Bonus:
  • APMO is a plus.
