The Digital Engineering (DE) Integration office reports directly to the Senior VP of the Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) and is primarily responsible for leading the DE transformation of Aerospace. In this critical role, this organization integrates DE activities internal to the company through a corporate DE integration framework and leads the Enterprise Integration of key DE activities across all customer organizations to identify common and critical customer challenges and needs in the area of DE.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Augment the Principal Director of the Digital Engineering (DE) Integration office in the governance and integration of all corporate DE activities
  • Provide leadership for one or more DE lines of effort (LOEs) defined by the DE Integration office, which may include directly leading projects critical to the DE transformation of Aerospace
  • Support the establishment of integrated FY execution and coordination plans for DE projects (both direct and indirect funded) across the corporation
  • Track progress against DE plans and provide continuous integration and assistance to ensure the successful accomplishment of key outcomes within each portfolio of DE projects
  • Interact directly with government customers and Aerospace program office personnel in the employee's regional area to obtain first-hand insights into the DE activities of those customers
  • Provide direct technical support to government customers in the area of DE for no less than 25% to 50% of your time (10-20 hours per week)
  • Identify common and critical customer challenges and needs (i.e. problem framing) in the area of DE to support the integration of key DE activities, to include the support being provided by different ETG teams, both across and within customer organizations
  • Identify new DE capabilities, and enhancements to current capabilities, that will better support the customer base
  • Interface with industry, academia, vendors, and other FFRDCs/UARCs to maintain awareness of the latest advances in DE technologies, capabilities, and processes
  • Act as the office's designated representative at technical meetings, presentations, and symposia

This position can sit in Albuquerque, NM or Colorado Springs, CO. It can be filled as an Engineering Specialist or Sr. Engineering Specialist

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for Engineering Specialist - Digital Engineering Transformation
  • Current Secret clearance
  • Advanced degree from an accredited program in science, mathematics, or engineering
  • 8 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
  • Demonstrated participation and leadership in Digital Engineering (DE) activities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to change, and demonstrate initiative under pressure

Minimum Requirements for Sr. Engineering Specialist - Digital Engineering Transformation
  • All of the above requirements for Engineering Specialist - Digital Engineering Transformation
  • 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
  • Current TS/SCI or higher clearance
  • Prior hands-on experience with DE tools, applications, and processes
  • Strong knowledge of systems-of-systems (SoS) engineering and architecting and model-based system engineering (MBSE) discipline, literature, tools, and processes
  • Extensive knowledge of the breadth and depth of ETG's technical capabilities and customers

Grade-Based Pay Range

(Min - Mid - Max)$117,027 - $192,281 - $267,534
