ACCENT LANDSCAPE - Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Performs installation, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates power equipment and hand tools to install, maintain and repair irrigation systems and related components including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, etc.
Checks system for proper operation and timing.
May participate in the design or modification of new or existing systems.
May lead workers on irrigation projects and work on other grounds related assignments as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods of irrigation system design, installation and maintenance.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings is a plus but not required
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to read and write in English and possess good math skills is a plus
Ability to lead and direct the work of others is a plus
Ability to work in safe and efficient manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: One year irrigation installation experience
Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting, standing, walking, climbing off and on equipment, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift, fingering, talking hearing, and seeing.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Spends most time outdoors, frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures for one hour plus. Possible exposure to distraction/uncomfortable noise levels and vibration of body or extremities. Risk of bodily injury from mechanical parts, etc. Possible exposure to fumes, odors, etc. that may affect respiration and skin.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12-$18.79/hr
