Job Title: Senior Service Technician

Reports To: Erik Thurman

Compensation Status: $21 to $30

Date: 02/17/2020

Summary

Senior Service Technician will be responsible for installation and maintenance of commercial low-voltage systems including but not limited to Security Systems, Access Control Devices, Safety Systems, CCTV, Nurse Call, Fire and Evacuation systems. The preferred candidate should possess excellent Customer Service skills and have the highest sense of care for Safety as the number one value regarding all functional aspects of this business. Candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision. This position will require limited out of area travel and the ability to work overtime.

Duties/Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote customer support

Connect and set up hardware

The preferred candidate will be able to troubleshoot and repair system failures in a timely manner using the seven step process and or root cause analysis.

Represents the company in a variety of internal/external settings.

Establishes inter/intra positive team oriented working relationships.

Understands and uses a CRM based methodology in order to bring the highest level of customer care to the client base.

Uses Best Known Methods (BKM) in order to grow the business.

Keeps up with the standards of industry knowledge and applications in order to maintain business proficiency.

Ensures compliance with all applicable governing laws.

Education: 2 years equivalent work-related experience in commercial/industrial technical service team with Smart Building Technology, Life Safety Systems and Facilities Management experience highly preferred. Licensing and or Certification relative to the industry (e.g. NICET, CPMM, FMA or equivalent). Other similar business and managerial experience will be considered on a case by case basis.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to define problems/issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete business variables. Excellent communication skills to interface internally and externally with all levels of an organization and to participate in problem solving/quality improvement activities.
