Immediate need for Legal AssistantÂto support:
2Âattorneys:ÂOne Shareholder and an Associate,Âin Medical Malpractice.ÂÂ
Support an attorney who's practice areas areÂComplex Civil Litigation,ÂHealth Care / Medical Liability.ÂProfessional Liability
This position may last 3+ months, possiblyÂbecoming permanent and will be specifically in the Medical Malpractice area.Â$19 - $22 based on qualificationsÂ
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5 years of recent experience as a Legal Assistant required
Desired experience and background includes medical malpractice litigationÂ
Solid experience with court filings and calendaring scheduling orders.ÂIt is imperative that the legal assistant knows the filing deadlines.
Must possess excellent communication skills
Must have great organizational skills
Ability to learn new legal software
Must have strong work ethic
Must have a positive attitude
Superior writing and grammar skills
Must be highly self motivated to learn and willing to work under minimal supervision once procedures are learned
Must be proficient in Microsoft WordÂ
Must have experience with basic office equipment
