Exciting opportunity for an ambitious Designer with excellent communication skills, to join one of Albuquerque’s leading, kitchen and bath cabinet studio.
Marc Coan Designs is an established professional kitchen and bath cabinet studio in Albuquerque specializing in semi-custom and custom cabinetry. For 11 years, MCD has earned the trust and respect of our clients by providing personalized attention and insightful design solutions to our customers in a friendly, professional, and engaging environment. We have no shortage of business and provide excellent support and a friendly office environment.
Designer applicant should be passionate, have a focus and attention to detail, and should have an understanding on how things are built and put together. MCD is in the business of selling ideas and effective sales skills are an important asset.
Ideal applicants should be creative, inquisitive, with a solid ability to conceptualize, sketch, and convey design concepts, both verbally and visually, to our clients.
Qualifications/Job Functions:
Design degree or design background
2+ years of experience in the kitchen/bath remodeling industry a big plus
Solid understanding of design, planning & color sense
Strong interpersonal communication & engaging skills
Desire to learn
Ability to work independently and productively with our full support
Can design and effectively manage a project from start to finish
o measuring of existing site conditions
o Designing within client parameters and budget
o Generate pricing, proposals, and contracts
o Create, place, track, and receive cabinet orders
o Schedule and supervise installations
o Manage invoicing and collections of projects
Basic computer skills of Microsoft Professional Suite
o Outlook
o Excel
o Word
o PowerPoint
2020 Design software proficiency a big plus (AutoCAD &/or Chief Architect are a good basis)
Access to a car and a clean driving record
Benefits:
Full-time position (35 hours/wk.) (Saturdays by previous client appointment)
Salary + commission based on experience: $36K - $52K
Cell phone & mileage allowance
Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) employer contribution after 90 days probationary period
