Soldering assembler/ SMT support
Duties include but not limited to, assembly of chassis, housing, instrumentation, cables, connections, and printed wiring boards. Ability to solder thru-hole, surface mount, fine pitch and high-density components.
Current IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 certification a plus. Prepares and solders electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's) according to specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Perform SMT and thru hole hand component soldering to IPC standards.
Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and automatic equipment, PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly.
Work with leaded and lead- free solder.
Interpret resistor color codes and capacitors values.
Basic ability to read PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN's, assembly instructions.
Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.
Basic understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components.
SMT operation experience a plus.
Maintains department specific records.
Work under close supervision from Production Department Supervisor.

Basic math skills and knowledge of measuring devices required.

Must be able to prioritize work.
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
High level of accuracy
Ability to read/write/speak English
Hourly wage depending on experience.
