POSITION TITLE: Life Skills Academy Coordinator
JOB STATUS: Full Time
PAY RATE: $33,500 - $38,000 DOE
The Life Skills Academy Coordinator works to build strong and lasting relationships with young people (16-24) and community partners. Implement the continuing education and support model of the Life Skills Academy and work with other life skill providers to develop a system of collaboration and increased capacity to better support young people.
JOB DUTIES:
Collaborate with community instructors and organizations to create dynamic class offerings
Act as a liaison for the Life Skills Academy in the community with other programs that serve young people, probation officers, social workers, mental health professionals, businesses, health care providers, etc.
Ensure there are diverse class and course offerings each month that include topics from all of the life skills focus areas and specifically building strong cultural identity
Actively recruit youth to increase engagement and participation in the Life Skills Academy
Update and maintain the LSA website, including monthly calendar and class descriptions
Develop employment opportunities for youth by building relationships with local employers

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree and 1-3 years of experience, Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience, or an Associate's Degree/some college with 6-8 years of experience
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass comprehensive criminal, sexual offender, MVD background checks.
Must have car, valid driver's license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.
