Description SAIC is seeking highly motivated IT Professionals to help build and grow exceptional Enterprise Linux IT Services. SAIC is looking to fill a position for an entry level Linux System Administrator to assist with the daily activities of building, configuring and operation of Linux Systems. On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Deploy new systems and modernize existing systems with respect to security, networking, file systems, software installations, and user support.
- Perform and automate high-level operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems.
- Coordinate, direct and perform complex software installations and upgrades to layered software packages.
- Continually monitor and tune multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensure system compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Candidate must have a minimum 2 years' experience as a system administrator with minimum of 1-year (of the 2 year minimum experience) Linux/Unix type of experience
- Experience working on large applications in a team environment
- Experience using Agile development methodologies
- Can start uncleared but must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
