Network Technician Position in Albuquerque
Net Sciences, an MSP in Albuquerque is looking for a Network Technician in Albuquerque. We would prefer to find someone working at another provider that is looking for a step up in terms of job satisfaction, but are open to others. This job REQUIRES three to five years of experience in this field. This is primarily a Monday to Friday, 8-5 job, w/occasional overtime and on-call hours.
This is not an entry level job. You must have expertise in at least three of these six areas:
Delivering support remotely using modern RMM & PSA tools.
Computer hardware build & repair experience using current technology.
Networking design, installation and secure design experience.
Security appliance experience, with Sonicwall products experience a plus.
BDR appliance experience, with Datto experience a plus.
Virtualization skills, with Windows Hyper-V experience a plus.
Your job duties will consist largely of, but not be limited to:
Providing front line (Tier 1 and Tier 2) support to end users.
Setup and configure infrastructure devices (firewalls, switches, wireless, and UPS)
Setup and maintain bare metal and virtualized servers.
Manage software licensing, check in orders, package deliveries, etc.
Learn to use the tools and techniques in our own unique manner.
Learn to create, follow and update complete network and procedural documentation.
A business casual appearance and the ability to communicate and work with people directly is mandatory, as you will be the point of contact with customers. While most of the work is delivered remotely, we do work with clients directly as well. Use of the company vehicle is required, so a current driver's license, a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background test is required.
This position will pay $17 to $24/hourly, includes paid vacation/sick leave, health care, a company matched retirement plan, chair massage and other less tangible benefits. I would prefer someone with a bachelor's degree but am open to those that can demonstrate their literacy and numeracy without that. We live and breathe IT here and so should you.
