Well come to Douglas, WY our team is currently looking for a Diesel Engine Mechanic and Engine Builder to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. This role will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions

Engine / transmission diagnose

Overhauls and repairs engines or motors; disassembles engines and repairs or replaces defective parts; reassembles engines and adjustments as needed

Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices

Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brake

Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas

Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer's' performance specifications

Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups

Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems

Repair or replace parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings

Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages

Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels

Repair radiator leaks

Install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers

Repair manual and automatic transmissions

Repair or replace shock absorbers

Replace and adjust headlights

Adhere to company rules and regulations

Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.

Required Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum Five years in medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience

Must have own hand tools

Good driving record and proven work history

Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures

Have a passion for engines.

Enjoy disassembling and learning on new engines everyday.

Enjoy putting your knowledge to the test.

Enjoy working with your hands.

Not afraid of getting your hands dirty and tear into a motor.

Open to being trained and learning new things.

What You'll Need To Know

Understand the basics of a engine.

Able to do some heavy lifting at times.

Operate many types of shop machinery that generally are necessary in the process of engine rebuilding.

General shop cleanup duties.

Engine teardown/build skills

Operate typical shop equipment such as hoists, jacks, hand tools, cleaning machines, wiring, etc.

Must be very detail and precision oriented along with the ability to pick up on how to use various machinery. Block honing, boring, align honing, head resurfacing, block decking, resizing rods,

balancing rotating assemblies etc.
