Downstream Chemical Technician

We provide technical solutions to help with all their challenges.Partner with the bestAs a Chemical Technician, you will have the opportunity to develop a professional career with our business. Your role will include pump maintenance, chemical transfers, and inventory control all while shaping excellent relationships and value to customers. You will be a critical part of our technical team while collaborating with external teams.As a Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for:- Performing necessary lab testing and corrosion monitoring to help support and identify necessary applications
- Generating and interpreting data to understand changes in applications to provide effective customer solutions
- Maintaining chemical pumps in the refinery
- Managing chemical inventories to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Advising contract employees on Health, Safety and Environment policies and guidelines to ensure compliance
- Building relationships with internal cross-functional teams and customers to ensure a flawless delivery and execution of projects
Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent educational level
- Demonstrate knowledge of refinery operations or industrial process, finished fuels, and service experience
- Show a good understanding of industrial chemical treatment
- Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills
- Have experience working in a laboratory setting
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Have experience with forklifts
- Have some experience in Chemical handling
- Have basic math and computer skills
