We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative individual into the Student Engagement Administrator role. This is an exciting opportunity within its Student Engagement Team for a fixed term part time period, working 18.75 hours per week.

As a Student Engagement Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrator support to the Student Engagement team across a range of projects aimed at the enrichment programmes across our student body, this would include student retention, achievement and completion.

Key accountabilities will be around:

  • Administration support
  • Data Collation
  • Student Support

You will be reporting through to the Student Development and Engagement Manager and working closely with not only the Student Engagement team but other important stakeholders such as the Associate Director Equity and the Student Academic Services Team.

Our ideal applicant will also be familiar with the student life cycle and be passionate about excellence and innovation in Student Engagement.

Important Skills/ Experience| Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

Our ideal candidates will bring:

  • Strong administrative experience
  • Experience working with Maori and Pacific students in tertiary education
  • Experience working with young people in a pastoral capacity
  • Confident computer skills especially in Microsoft Office, University learning management system, UoA online system, Canva
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which are essential, along with good time management skills
  • Strong relationships building skills, as you be working with a wide variety of students, colleagues and external parties

Qualifications

Essential – Graduate or currently in 3rd year of an Undergraduate degree

Preferred – PG student
