Job Description

We're looking for a Manager to lead the Vendors and Partnerships team on Trust & Safety, championing the strategy and management of our third-party vendor relationships.

As the Manager, Trust & Safety Vendors and Partnerships you will be the senior point of contact for Trust & Safety’s third-party relationships, including tooling vendors and our third-party partners, developing a nimble strategy to support the scaling of the organization’s work. Do you have exceptional relationship management skills, experience scaling programs to pace with organizational growth, experience with vendor oversight and budgets? This might be a great match!

This is a full-time position located (eventually) in our Brooklyn, NY or Hudson, NY office, reporting to the Senior Manager, Trust & Safety Enablement and Outsourcing. We offer flexible workplace policies that can accommodate work from home candidates who are comfortable traveling to an office location 2-3 times per week. We’re also open to remote hires within all U.S. states except Hawaii and Alaska. Candidates will be expected to workET hours.

For candidates who will work remotely from Colorado, visit thislinkfor information related to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise a portfolio of third-party vendors comprising an annual $10 million budget, including business-critical tooling providers

  • Manage at least 2 direct reports, mentoring them on goal setting, work prioritization and career development, and building alignment with leadership on the team’s behalf

  • Lead a team responsible for managing functions such as: third-party Enablement, contract discussion and negotiation, and budget adherence

  • Develop a partnership strategy in consultation with senior leadership: resolving staffing needs, negotiating with vendor partners, directing workforce management, and adhering to Etsy best practices

  • Accountable for vendor scorecards, which rate success on critical metrics such as SLAs, agent quality, and operational performance

  • Collaborate with operational team leads to successfully implement third-party tools as part of product solutions

  • Act as the point of escalation for high priority incidents involving vendor partners

  • Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law

Qualifications

About YouIdeally, you'll bring:

  • 4+ years of people management with a demonstrated ability in vendor management, preferably in the trust and safety industry

  • Experience managing budgets or using data to inform workforce management decisions

  • Experience mapping and tracking performance KPIs, and using metrics to measure SLAs

  • Comfortable leading in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment

  • Comfortable providing and receiving feedback as an everyday practice

  • Ability to maintain composure and optimism in high stress situations

  • Outstanding communication and social skills, with the ability to influence multiple partners at various levels and subject areas

  • Excellent written and presentation skills

  • A trust in and commitment to Etsy’s vision, mission and values
