Kelly Services is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager for a cleint that has specialises in mechanical contractors, commercial HVAC installations, and plumbing & electrical installations.Direct HireLocation: Carlsbad, NMOffers competitive compensation packages, weekly paychecks, paid company holidays, 401K plan as well as health benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/ AD&D, STD, LTD and supplemental life insurance.PRIMARY FUNCTION:We are searching for a skilled Senior Project Manager who will lead Project Teams to successfully deliver assigned projects ($10mm+). The Senior PM manages resources, schedules, financials and adheres to quality and control guidelines throughout the project life cycle. A primary function of the Senior PM is to manage issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The Senior PM contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. The Senior PM has authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis and verifies the project produces the required deliverables within the specified constraints of cost. Additionally, the Senior PM develops new business opportunities relative to a client, group of clients, or geographical area.PRIMARY DUTIES: Plans, directs, and coordinates craft personnel in support of the field’s fluctuating labor needs for Electrical construction and maintenance Directs, supports and mentors all subordinate supervisory personnel; ensures compliance with safety and administrative requirements Assumes primary project leadership responsibilities in partnership with other key team members and project personnel Evaluates the contractual scope of work; plans, organizes and staffs key project positions through Regional Department Heads, Subordinate Project Managers, General Superintendents, etc. Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of the corporate policy Initiates and maintains liaison with clients and contacts to facilitate successful construction activities Negotiates, prepares and issues subcontracts Monitors/controls construction through administrative direction of on-site Project Superintendent; prepares, issues and updates master project schedule and variance reports to ensure project is built, safely, on schedule and within budget Manages financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings, and collections) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow while simultaneously maintaining a positive relationship with client Manages risks; investigates potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as required Actively pursues additional work through change orders and communicate these as needed with Corporate Headquarters Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and Kilgore standards Supervises/mentors the work of other Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers when assigned Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by Vice Presidents, Corporate Executives, or as project dictates This position is for our New Mexico site and requires travel (may vary significantly between individuals in this position) Reports to the jobsite/office a minimum of Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm and additional hours as necessary to complete each project in a timely mannerQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Extensive (10+ years) construction electrical labor management experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and related experience) Extensive (10+ years) experience/knowledge of electrical construction design, finance, and management Heavy industrial, instrumentation and controls experience Federal Government experience preferred Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities Outstanding negotiation and change order management skills Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) Exceptional organizational and documentation skills Advanced abilities in problem solving, scheduling, and cost control Excellent MS Office skills and ability/drive to learn new software systems OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six months from date of hire) Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance Employment is contingent upon satisfying all job site-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions from any job site or from working with any of Kilgore’s partnering General Contractors, Owners, Customers, etc.Apply today chad233@kellyservices.comWhy Kelly ® ?As a worker today, it’s up to you to take charge of your career and look for opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve your potential.
