The Opportunity:

Mattel is currently seeking a Technical Program Management (TPM) Associate to join our Fisher-Price team in East Aurora, NY.

What Your Impact Will Be:

You’ll be an integral part of the technical project and program management team that brings physical and digital experiences to life. These advanced products leverage established and emerging technology platforms such as NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IR, Machine Learning, AR, VR, image/object recognition, computer vision, machine learning, and IoT. You’ll be a member of an Agile product development team that works with a diverse set of partners including Marketing, Design, Engineering, IT, R&D, Testing, Systems Architecture, and software partners to drive projects from concept through execution and beyond.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on projects to ensure successful alignment on execution for digital and connected projects
  • Effectively communicate program statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Identify dependencies and break project scope into actionable workstreams
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical
  • Contribute to the development and sharing of technical project management best practices
  • Works to meet milestones that will lead to on-time product launches

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • BS preferred or equivalent experience,or enrolled in an accredited university projected to graduate in Spring/Summer 2021
  • Majoring and/or minoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Electrical Engineering with a focus on Software or Product Development
  • Interest in technical project management, software testing, preferably in consumer or digital products
  • Understanding of technical engineering and project management principles and processes. Preferably knowledge/awareness to firmware/hardware development, mobile development, basic cloud principles, and software delivery methodologies.
  • Must have ability to juggle multiple projects, make quick decisions and possess excellent analytical skills. Tendency towards proactive risk management and escalation
  • Able to work in complex, fast-paced environments with both business and technical team members
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and active listening skills. Highly organized with ability to bring the right people together to make things happen
  • Detail oriented and creative problem solver that has a passion to create fun-filled, immersive, innovative play experiences for the youngest of children and families
