Job Description
The Senior .net Software Engineer will be involved in the strategic growth into the Software As A Service (SaaS) domain. This role will be including developing and supporting the build out of SaaS infrastructure. The role holder will actively participate in product development and operations infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work in a team environment with individuals and groups located worldwide.
This role will be part of a small team in the early stages of building out SaaS to support existing hardware installed base. Team is responsible for all infrastructure, development, devops, building and support of web apps, mobile apps, networking configurations and connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Working in the .net space as a member of software development teams to build out applications, web services and backing libraries. Tooling in use: Microsoft, Visual Studio, C#, .net core, Azure Devops, Git, Jira, Confluence, TFS, Azure.
- Occasionally perform SRE duties – analyze and improve system availability, latency, efficiency as services and applications are designed and built.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues within Azure environments, including for event process and remote access. Evaluate, recommend, and select new tools.
- Championing and promoting best practices for data security, data integrity, test driven design, full unit tests, working in an agile, code-reviews.
- Help develop tools (dashboards, alerts, and diagnostics) to monitor the operational reliability and quality of production-level software services.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
- Experience in new product development and product launch process
- Experience with Cloud-based solutions (Azure preferred)
- Experience designing, developing, testing, documenting applications/services in C# .net
- Excellent analytical skills, including analysis of existing software code and utilization of software tools. Able to debug software and perform root cause analysis.
- Experience with unit and integration testing to include automation of test procedures.
- Good interpersonal skills within a cross functional team; proactive approach to communication and handling conflicts.
- Experience with Windows and Linux infrastructures, database SQL, CI/CD tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Scrum/Agile workflow methodologies.
- Knowledge of quality management processes for the software development life-cycle.
- Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with ReactJS/Javascript
