Manage team of two to provide accounting, financial reporting support, and oversight to daily and monthly administration of UTC SAP Treasury System accounting processes. Major areas include;Intercompany Loans, Commercial Paper, Long Term Debt, Dividends, Derivative & Foreign Exchange, Treasury rate locks, Payments, ST Investments, Share Repurchase, FAS 115 Investments.
Manage, analyze and report data forthe monthly close process associated with UTC Corporate entities. This includes, but is not limited to, the preparation and approval review of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and various other reporting summaries and analytics.
Daily and monthly SAP treasury system trouble shooting and analysis
Responsible for Long Term Debt, Short Term Debt, and Short Term Investments Accounting, reporting, and approval review of account reconciliations.
Analyze, report, and manage Derivative Accounting for cash flow and mark to market derivative hedging and reconciliations for both Collins Aerospace and CFRAO.
Assist with data analytics and project management oversight for UTC SAP Treasury function for the CFRAO entities treasury activities.
Foreign exchange and cash flow hedge accounting technical support to Treasury Department and business units.
Mark to Market (MTM) and Fair Value (Fair value) reconciliation quarterly deliverables.
Analyze, report, and manage Monthly CFRAO Foreign Exchange Results and review with senior management
Contribute to development of CFRAO by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department.
Apply ACE tools to continuously improve key processes
Support Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance objectives
Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA not required, but desired.
Basic Qualifications
You've obtained a Bachelor's Degree
You have 8 or more years of professional accounting experience
You are a US Citizen or US person (green card holder)
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees in Finance or Accounting preferred
Expert level experience with 10+ years of experience and progressive career growth in Accounting and Treasury
Quantitative analytical skills including ability to review and analyze financial reports
You are comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications, SAP and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
Additional Skills and Abilities
Advanced communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of Controller's Dept. and other UTC (Treasury) and Business Unit staff and management
Proven effective utilization of Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) and a history of driving process improvements. Associate Certification is strongly preferred
You're a dynamic problem solver with the ability to craft solutions to everyday challenges with creative new ideas
Self-starter with willingness to take initiative, support strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects/initiatives and contribute to results and ability to work with a minimum supervision
Exceptional interpersonal skills and solid track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative
