About you:

You value clear labelling and communication. You keep your work area spotless. You enjoy working with your hands in a light manufacturing setting. You work best on your own, but you are really good at communicating with the rest of the team. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done. There’s no task too small and too large!

About the role

The Grow Network primarily sells small herbal kits, tools, and bulk herbs online to people who want to make their own medicine and grow their own food. Your job will be to take the raw materials and assemble the kits. You’ll also be responsible for the inventory management and process flow. You’ll be working at the TGN leased facility at Edesia Kitchen and other leased local warehouses in Paonia, CO.

- Receive raw materials, parts, and components checking for accurate quality and quantity.

- Inspecting and reporting on quality of incoming bulk herbs for dryness, purity, and vibrancy.

- Developing and following quarantine procedures for incoming herbs or components

- Maintaining logs for retain samples, kitting, manufacturing, and other processes

- Manage inventory and maintaining accurate inventory levels at all times.

- Communicating regularly with the TGN team

- Organize shipping to the fulfillment center in a timely manner

- Manage local regulators / inspections as needed

- Implement GMP (good manufacturing practices)

Minimum requirements

A passion for homegrown food and good health (you have a garden, and/or chickens, or you are growing some of your own food in some way).

3 years of experience in an assembly / light manufacturing position

Ability to effectively work with a remote team, you communicate clearly and regularly via email, phone, and text as needed.

Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.

You are a labelling, file-naming, organizational, and cleanliness fanatic.

Experienced with Office365 (word, excel, powerpoint) and Outlook coordinated company email and calendaring.

Extra points if you are familiar with Katana manufacturing software and GMP (good manufacturing processes).

Compensation and Benefits

Starting at $14.00 /hour on a contract basis. Initially estimating the workload to be about 15 to 20 hours per week. The workload will increase as the company grows and our best estimate is this will become full time within a year. Although this is initially part-time we are looking for a long-term committed teammate and friend who wants to be part of our innovative and growing organization for many years to come.
