Job Description
Verisk is seeking a Staff Attorney(Insurance Coverage/Regulatory) to provide advice to Insurance Lines’ management and staff concerning coverage issues on all ISO lines of insurance with respect to the drafting of policy forms and forms related rules and the ISO materials explaining them. The successful candidate will performlegal research of statutes, regulations and case law relevant to insurance products and services. You'll also provideadvice in connection with insurance regulatory filings of ISO policy forms and forms-related rules, as well as other regulatory matters.
Qualifications
- JD degree from an accredited law school
- 2-5 years legal experience in the insurance industry
- Admission to NJ State Bar or have NJ in-house counsel limited license
- Experience in insurance coverage, claims and/or litigation
- Extensive experience in policy forms wording and drafting
- Experience in dealing with insurance regulatory matters
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented, values and emphasizes cooperation and teamwork across business units
- Strong work ethic and must be able to independently manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
