Description SAIC is seeking a test engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer will design, develop, and implement testing on complex network systems based off system documentation, network topology documents, requirement documents, ICDs and other technical documents. The T&E Engineer will coordinate and lead a multidisciplinary team to accomplish testing goals. The T&E engineer will compile data and define changes required in test methods, test cases and procedures, document and interpret results, document non-conformances and compliance with requirements along with providing recommendations to the customer for system changes to meet requirements.

Primary duties may include:
  • Develop comprehensive testing through understanding of system design and documentation
  • Interpret system requirements into testable sub-requirements
  • Interact with hardware, software and network subject matter experts to understand emerging technology and develop new test methods and cases to verify requirements
  • Analyze data and test results to provide concrete proof for requirement buy off
  • Write test and testing related documents including Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), test plans, procedures, cases and reports
  • Incorporate unit, integration, regression, system and security (including code scans) testing
  • Execute manual and automated tests
  • May test data models and analytic solutions
  • May perform cybersecurity testing
Qualifications Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and nine (9) years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and seven (7) years or more of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of testing experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of data centers, virtual networks and machines
  • Experience deploying and maintaining software systems
  • Experience developing test documentation, including test procedures and cases
  • Experience developing manual and automated test procedures
