Northrop Grumman is preparing to partner with the 705 Combat Training Squadron (CTS) Infrastructure, Development and Engineering (IDE) program to develop and maintain simulation software (SW) and hardware (HW) solutions, build, and maintain network infrastructure, design, and develop simulation SW applications, and evolve and conduct Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) activities for the 705 CTS and Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC).In the context of the 705 CTS IDE, this position will be responsible for oversight of the DMOC Battlespace security; such as, design, build, and deployment of secure applications, integrating security into the software development life cycle by including specific security- related activities in software engineering processes. Security-related activities include identifying security objectives; applying secure design guidelines; identifying conflicting patterns and principles; conducting architecture and design reviews for security; assisting in threat models creation; performing regular code reviews for security; testing for security; and conducting deployment reviews to ensure secure configuration. The System Security Engineer will be responsible for designing to physical security and COMSEC requirements.

POSITION IS UNFUNDED AND CONTINEGENT ON AWARD WIN

Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline with at least 5 years of experience in information security in relation to DoD systems. -AND- -Three years of demonstrated experience performing assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave to identify where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations as defined in NIST SP 800-53 in support of system accreditation under RMF-Three years of demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by DoD information technology (IT) systems to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls as defined in NIST SP 800-37-Two plus (2+) years of demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Information Assurance (IA) artifacts in support of ongoing system accreditation.-Two plus (2+) years of demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems and provide recommendations for risk mitigation. -AND- Shall have upon hire:Minimum Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification and able to achieve IAT III certification within 6 months of entrance on duty. -AND- Shall achieve within 6 months of entrance on duty:Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III certification. The Senior Systems Security Engineer shall maintain certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M continuing education program (CPE) through the Period of Performance of the contract. Top Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $111,600 USD - $167,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
