Local historical and beautiful sites (Santa Fe, Taos) are within an hour’s drive of Los Alamos.Los Alamos Medical Center is committed to its quality initiatives and a culture of safety, is invested in the growth of its staff and thus supports ongoing education, certifications and other ongoing learning, and extends numerous recognition programs to all of its staff that include the Daisy Award, and serves the community well.A $10,000.00 sign on bonus is currently being offered for this position for a twenty four (24) month commitment of full time employment.LAMC is currently offering an up to $1000.00 per month rental incentive for up to six months for this position for a newly hired applicant who makes the decision to move to Los Alamos and reside in the community.Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers this position performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practicesMaintains equipment and supplies and organizes work areaKeeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smoothLicenses: Current ARMDS Registry in Abdomen and/or VascularCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hireNew hires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American Heart Association certifications. Notwithstanding this ‘grace period’ for obtaining American Heart Associationcertifications, employees are not excused from being current in any and all existing certificationsthat are required for their position as outlined in the position job descriptionMust be a graduate of an Imaging Program that meets the requirements for Radiography or Sonography. Completion of a formal ultrasound training school is required. ARMDS Registry in Abdomen and/or Vascular required upon hire.Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
