This is your chance to make a real difference while working on important research directly impacting national security.The successful candidates will provide technical support as the process/system engineers in developing processes, improving processes, troubleshooting processes, and supporting high-value manufacturing. The selected candidates will be responsible for supporting operations as needed to maintain equipment and ensure operability of the process. They will also be responsible for identifying any process improvements and leading development activities. Individuals working in this position will be interacting with multiple organizations to ensure the implementation and compliance with Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Maintenance, Conduct of Operations, Quality, and Safety Management programs for their area.What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements:Engineering Experience: Thorough knowledge of and experience in one or more of the following engineering disciplines: mechanical; materials science; chemical; metallurgical or other R&D engineering field.Project Development: Thorough knowledge of and experience in designing; planning; and executing research and development projects.Communication Skills : Excellent written communication skills are required and ability to recognize technical problems, analysis and testing to generate suitable solutions and effectively document and communicate results.Problem Solving: Ability to recognize technical problems, analysis and testing to generate suitable solutions, effectively document, and communicate results.Education/Experience: This position requires an advanced degree from an ABET accredited engineering college or university program.Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge or experience working in a manufacturing or production organization requiring implementation of defined manufacturing, testing and quality requirements

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with system and subsystem qualification testing and/or analysis

Demonstrated knowledge of Conduct of Operations

Active DOE “Q” clearance (or similar)
