Job Description

The Sales Support Representative is responsible for directly assisting the sales group with administrative assistance in support of the organization’score functions and processes through collaboration, documentation, follow-up and preparation of correspondence / reports.

  • Provides support to a team of sales (inside/outside) representatives.
  • Creates new records for potential new client including accounts, customer contacts or leads.
  • Tracks data and creates reports regarding market conditions, sales results, team earnings, etc.
  • May be responsible for lead and order management activities for specified area of sales group (separated by account size or geographic territory).
  • Creates and stores sales related files and contracts in the archiving system.
  • Takes orders on self-qualified leads when appropriate.
  • Prepares quotes as needed for pre-sales customers.
  • Gathers initial and general information to input into sales database (CRM/CertIQ).
  • Prepares sales proposals and reports for clients and upper management.
  • Provides regular updates to manager on project/account status.
  • Compiles, assimilates and prepares documents/reports or other materials as required.
  • Maintain department files, records and related databases.
  • Performs other general administrative duties as required.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree AND 1-2+ years of sales or administrative experience

OR

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years’ experience in the Certification Services industry
