Position Summary: Our Bartenders have a thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails, As a Bartender you will create a great experience for our guests by greeting them, learning about their preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items and preparing and serving beverages and food.
Requirements:
Must be 21+ years of age.
Must have valid unexpired Identification to work in the United States of America.
Must have valid/current Alcohol Server Certification.
Must have valid/current Food Handler Certification
Hours may vary therefore must have flexible availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
1+ years experience as a bartender required.
While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, reach with arms and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions. The position also requires bending, twisting, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Welcome guests and help them select food and beverages by presenting a menu, offering cocktails or other beverages, explaining menu items and answering preparation and ingredient questions
Possess a thorough knowledge of Federal and New Mexico laws and requirements for alcohol and food service
Check guests' identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
Adhere to SF Dining Alcohol service policies for safe service of alcoholic beverages. Prevent over service
Possess an in-depth knowledge of standard drink orders and mixing procedures and stay up-to-date
Transmit orders to the kitchen correctly
Take inventory and order supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
Maintain professional restaurant image, including superior sanitation and cleanliness controls
Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, washing glasses, utensils and equipment
Issue bill, accept payment, return change or credit card and signature slip to guests
Work with a diverse set of co-workers as a cohesive team
Attend all mandatory in-house trainings including Alcohol Service and Harassment
Follow cash handling and payment procedures
Assist the Manager to safely open and/or close the restaurant
Qualifications & Characteristics
Must be at least 21 years of age
Friendly and helpful attitude and a commitment to provide excellent customer service
Impeccable integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
Proficiency in the following restaurant functions: alcohol service and drink preparation, sanitation, company policies and procedures
Ability to contribute to a positive team environment
Strong organizational skills and time management skills
Exceptional listening and communication skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with guests, other employees and restaurant management
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use POS systems
Must have, and maintain, a New Mexico Alcohol Servers permit and a New Mexico Food Handler permit
Ability to arrive on-time and work shifts as scheduled
Hours may vary and you must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
