This job description is for a Medical Doctor, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistants to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services by prescribing buprenorphine for clients enrolled in counseling services in our Espanola office. This position is part-time working one day a week for eight hours with potential for more hours weekly.

Job Description:

To prescribe buprenorphine and other medication-assisted treatment for TMC clients enrolled in the counseling and MAT program.

Work closely with TMC clinical, testing and harm reduction staff and make client referrals as needed.

Support TMC Harm Reduction Program Manager with directing MAT program.

Provide quality assurance for MAT program and support HVC testing staff with other client needs.

Upload client information in EMR database and make sure information is ready for billing.

Attend TMC MAT team meetings (once or twice a month).

Weekly (or agreed with schedule) Medication Assisted Treatment Services to include new patient intakes (90-minute visit), current patient follow-ups (30-minute visit), prescriptions for medication-assisted treatment, collaboration with The Mountain Center to ensure that all patients receive ongoing counseling services, and necessary lab tests.

Allow NPI number (for N.P. or M.D.) to be used for the purposes of the Mountain Center establishing and maintaining an account to order lab tests and other initiatives.

Other Responsibilities:

To complete any paperwork that is given by The Mountain Center and holds all client and operational information confidential.

Report safety concerns about any organizational and or client issues to the Executive Director and or Harm Reduction Program Manager.

Provide copies of adequate insurance and current licences.

The contractor or employee will adhere to Federal, State, Professional, and Client policies and laws regarding confidentiality, HIPAA, and mandatory reporting.

Read, use, and follow any policy, manual or documents given by the TMC Executive Director.

It is approved for the contractor to use their personal computer for the purpose of conducting TMC business as long as the following are done.

Computer or device does not belong to someone else.

The contractor must log in and out after use where passwords are required.

Qualifications:

State of New Mexico Certified license NP or PA in good standing.

Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.

Board certified as a N.P./MD or equivalent.

Current as DEA, NPI and Medicaid numbers.

Has completed the 24 hours of required training of the Drug Addiction Treatment Act (DATA) waiver through SAMHSA (or will have completed by the time of hire).

Master's degree or higher.

Three (3) years of related work experience.

Malpractice Insurance.
