The Food Depot seeks an Inventory Control Coordinator. Position is full-time with a salary range of $13-$20 per hour plus benefits. Applicants must have computer experience, a clean driving record and a commitment to The Food Depots mission of ending hunger. The Food Depot is a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Organizes inventory in cold storage; practices FIFO in placing and distributing food stored in cold storage units;

Ensures perishable food, produce and frozen food is included in orders to be shipped out or picked up; ensures cold storage display cases are fully stocked;

Assists in assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves;

Assists in receiving, counting, sorting, preparing and placing food and related product on racks, shelves, or in bin and boxes according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color or product code, including comparison of bills of lading, inspection of product as it is received, and generation of pallet tags;

Completes forms, reports, and logs as required;

Moves and arranges stock as assigned;

Reads and understands production schedules, orders, work orders, shipping or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed;

Maintains positive customer relationships with donors, partner agencies, volunteers;

Ensures that all stock and inventory items are maintained in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, standards and program guidelines “ executes physical count;

Ensures the proper maintenance and recording of inventory levels for food/nonfood items;

Handles food according to safe food handling practices;

Maintains and safely operates all trucks and warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks; operates scales to weigh inventory items.
