Technical/Functional Skills Designs, develops and tests mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2) Use Cobol to analyze routines, procedures, TIP screens, ECL, batch jobs and FTPs which make up discrete parts of the systems. Unit and integration testing of programming assignments. Responsible for assisting with the technical design for new development and system enhancements. Performance tuning of new and existing applications. Production support tasks including analysis of issue, propose and implement solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Analyze DMS and RDMS database structures, data dictionaries and source code for discrepancies or inaccuracies. Good written and spoken communication skills. Worked on multiple projects involving complex systems analysis, design and complete application development Roles & Responsibilities Technical Support of user testing efforts. Document system specifications and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing. Coordinate project activities among other team members, users, and/or requesters. Work closely with Architects and others on the applications development team to refine solution design.
